The XI National GEO-PRODUCT Forum will take place on 8–9 October 2026. During this year’s edition, our project “Digital Journey Through Muskau Arch Geopark” will also be presented, including its main objectives, ongoing activities, and results achieved so far.
The National GEO-PRODUCT Forum is an annual two-day conference bringing together representatives of geoparks, scientific institutions, local authorities, tourism organisations, experts, and everyone interested in geotourism and geological heritage. The Forum provides a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience, establishing cooperation, and discussing the development of geotourism, geoeducation, and geoproducts.
The main theme of this year’s edition will be industrial heritage as a geoproduct.
The programme will include, among others:
- a main session dedicated to industrial heritage as a geoproduct,
- marketing workshops on the promotion of geoproducts,
- a panel discussion on cooperation between geoparks and local partners,
- field trips showcasing selected attractions of the Muskau Arch UNESCO Global Geopark.
The concept of geoproducts, one of the key topics of the Forum, combines geodiversity with tourism, education, and local entrepreneurship. Products and services based on this concept can contribute to the promotion of geological and cultural heritage, support local development, and help promote the principles of sustainable development.
The second day of the Forum will be dedicated to field trips, allowing participants to explore the heritage of the Muskau Arch UNESCO Global Geopark and discover practical examples of how its geotourism potential can be used.
We invite you to join us at the XI National GEO-PRODUCT Forum and discover our project on 8–9 October 2026.
The project “Digital journey through Muskau Arch Geopark” is co-financed by the European Union with funds from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Poland-Saxony 2021-2027 INTERREG Cooperation Program.
