“Digital Journey Through Muskau Arch Geopark” at the “GEOPARKS” Workshop in Dobków

On 19 May 2026, the “GEOPARKS” workshop was held in Dobków, focusing on the exchange of experiences related to geoparks, field education, and the promotion of geological and cultural heritage.

During the event, Damian Kasza, a member of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology team involved in the “Digital Journey Through Muskau Arch Geopark” project, presented the main objectives of the project, which is being implemented as part of the INTERREG Poland-Saxony Cooperation Programme 2021–2027. His presentation introduced the project partners and the results achieved so far, including work on a spatial database, documentation of mining heritage sites, 3D models, a geoportal, an interactive map, and augmented reality solutions.

The presentation was preceded by a talk by Ms Ewa Brauer from the EVTZ, who introduced the Muskau Arch UNESCO Global Geopark and highlighted its unique geological features.
