Geotop Day with the Project “Digital Journey through the Muskau Arch Geopark”
As every year, on the first Saturday of October, Geotop Day was held in the Muskau Arch Geopark – an event perfectly organized by the Lipinki Forest District. Despite the challenging weather conditions, there was no shortage of visitors who had the opportunity to learn about our project, “Digital Journey through the Muskau Arch Geopark”.
The project is being carried out by the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, EVTZ, and TU Bergakademie Freiberg, and is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG Poland–Saxony Cooperation Programme 2021–2027.
Its aim is to recreate the cultural and mining heritage of the Polish–Saxon border region in an augmented reality (AR) environment and to develop an interactive tourist offer for visitors to the Geopark.
The meeting in the Muskau Arch Geopark was the first in a series of three events promoting the project on both sides of the border.
We are delighted with the strong interest in the project and warmly invite you to the next events as part of the “Digital Journey through the Muskau Arch Geopark” initiative!
