On 15 April 2026, the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology hosted representatives from three Interreg programmes: Poland-Saxony, Poland-Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/Brandenburg, and Poland-Brandenburg. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to present the results of our ‘Digital Journey through the Muskau Arch Geopark’ project activities to date, and to gather valuable feedback and inspiration.
During the visit, we presented the project’s objectives and planned outcomes and shared the results of our work on documenting the mining heritage within the Geopark to date. We also presented the results of initial tests for the digital reconstruction of selected sites. Furthermore, we discussed the potential for expanding the project to include additional valuable activities. These ideas were well received, and the meeting was lively and productive, with discussions on new technologies, their potential applications, and further cooperation. We believe that the connections established and the knowledge exchange will contribute to the effective implementation of the project activities.
